Every team, business, or group is founded on what they strongly believe is important to them...aka their values. As a coach of a soccer team, I think it is vital that you provide a document or something visible for all members of the team to see and grasp. If they can see it and hold it pshysically then it makes it easier to understand.
Together with Coach Dale Jordan, we made a "Value's Pyramid". This pyramid encompasses the majority of what we belive is important for establishing our team's culture. These are principles and "ways of doing things" that we want our players to embrace and embody. They should come to be cornerstones for how we want others to view us. If everyone on the team can buy into these values and team principles, then they can in turn be incredibly powerful and motivating.
For our RFC Boy's U16 team, our team value's are:
