This book is HIGHLY recommended for any coach, manager, leader, etc. Author Daniel Coyle does an unbelievable job providing insight into a wide variety of successful groups and what they did to renew or recreate their culture. Click HERE or on the book cover for my notes.
The two main striking points I would definitely take away are:
-The key, necessary quality in building a successful group is SAFETY. All members need to feel as though they are safe to share their critical opinions, safe to fail, safe to be embarrassed, etc. without effecting their membership.
-Successful groups are focused on constantly reinforcing and signaling the purpose of what they stand for. They passionately share the same prioritize values and everything they do is focused on achieving these priorities.
